Join us July 19-21 to Hear a List of Experts in Community Banking
If you haven’t signed up for the CBA of Kansas Annual Convention and Trade Show, you’re at risk of missing out on one of the best speaker line-ups in the industry. Not only will you enjoy connecting with community bankers from across the state and previewing a variety of products and services tailored for your specific needs, but you’ll hear from experts in community banking that won’t appear together anywhere else.
Take a look at some of the speakers for the 2017 Annual Convention and Trade Show:
Rebeca Romero Rainey: Rainey is the immediate past chairman of ICBA and its newly announced President-elect, as she will replace Cam Fine at the helm in mid-2018. Rainey has been at the center of community banking at the national level, influencing the policies and regulations that impact your local bank. Recently, she met with President Trump to discuss regulatory reform.
As a third-generation community banker, Rainey shares your passion for the role of the community bank in supporting local businesses, families and schools. Come and hear how trends at the national level impact her bank in Taos, New Mexico and your own community bank.
Meagan Johnson: Johnson is the CBA of Kansas Annual Convention’s keynote speaker! Her background working at Quaker Oats and Kraft enabled her to witness, again and again, the lack of innovation in career development and training. Her message will focus specifically on the need for agility when it comes to managing multiple generations in the same workplace. Johnson will not only identify the challenges, but also provide practical guidance on creating a collaborative and thriving team.
Attorney General Derek Schmidt: Attorney General Schmidt will provide an update on critical issues in Kansas. His work has largely focused on prosecuting crimes against children, protecting seniors from scams and rip-offs and recovering money for Kansas taxpayers and consumers. He also provides professional legal services for the State of Kansas. Hear about the most important challenges that face Kansas, and how your state government is working on these issues.
Michelle “Miki” Bowman: Bowman serves at the Kansas State Bank Commissioner. As a fifth-generation banker, Bowman has extensive experience influencing banking policy and regulations at the national level. She has worked closely with Senator Bob Dole and an advisor to Secretary Tom Ridge in the Homeland Security Department. She is currently the Vice President at Farmers & Drovers Bank.
